Operations Assistant Manager

The Assistant Operations Manager plays a crucial role within our airport leadership team, reporting directly to the General Manager. This position is essential for overseeing and enhancing daily operational activities at the station. The successful candidate will excel in a dynamic environment and serve as a proactive coach for security, customer service, and sales teams.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Engage directly with customers on the operational floor for the majority of the shift.
  • Ensure adherence to CLEAR and TSA policies and procedures, maintaining the highest standards of security and integrity.
  • Oversee and enhance security, service, and sales performance during each shift.
  • Conduct shift briefings, debriefs, and team huddles, while managing changes, breaks, and rotations.
  • Coach, mentor, and train team members to achieve sales and customer service objectives.
  • Manage asset control and technology devices, demonstrating troubleshooting capabilities when required.
  • Act as a representative of CLEAR within the airport, fostering strong relationships with TSA and airline stakeholders.
  • Handle incident prevention and response effectively.
  • Participate in station management team meetings.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • 1-2 years of leadership experience in a customer-oriented environment (e.g., retail, hospitality, restaurants, rental services).
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide others.
  • Capability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage various tasks and responsibilities.
  • Comfortable with daily technology usage in the workplace.
  • Ability to successfully complete a government background investigation.
  • Willingness to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Commitment to following established policies and procedures in compliance with CLEAR, airport, state, and federal regulations.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including weekends, holidays, early mornings, and evenings.
