Position Overview

The Public Sector IDG Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving revenue and profitability, while ensuring exceptional experiences for partners and high levels of customer satisfaction. This role is essential to our comprehensive coverage and the overarching One Lenovo go-to-market strategy.

Located in Morrisville, NC, the Public Sector IDG Specialist is tasked with formulating and executing a robust customer Research & Development and Acquisition strategy for Lenovo's clientele. The ideal candidate will exhibit adaptability and possess direct industry experience, demonstrating a successful history of nurturing trusted relationships across all organizational tiers, both internally and externally.

A significant emphasis will be placed on managing current accounts and expanding new business avenues while meeting ambitious sales targets for Lenovo's IDG offerings. This role demands strong sales expertise, technical business knowledge, operational efficiency, and an entrepreneurial mindset to propel IDG technology sales, focusing on achieving favorable business results.

Key Responsibilities:

Meet and exceed profit and revenue goals Build and maintain client and partner relationships Spearhead and support the execution of the sales strategy within your accounts, driving revenue growth across Lenovo's IDG offerings. Ensure that the recommended products, services, and solutions align with client needs Oversee all facets of complex IDG sales and drive them to completion Utilize MS Dynamics to effectively track sales activities and pipeline across multiple quarters. Stay updated and flexible to Lenovo's ongoing product and service innovations Act as a trusted advisor within IDG for customers, partners, and internal teams. Strive to meet company growth targets in a dynamic and competitive landscape Exhibit excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Demonstrate the capability to operate effectively and achieve results under typical business pressures and accelerated customer timelines. Possess an acquisition-focused mindset and be driven for prospecting through both digital and traditional outreach methods, including cold calling, email campaigns, Vidyard, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience Minimum of 2 years in inside sales or field sales experience Experience in the PC Industry/IT Hardware/Software sales Willingness to travel for business as needed

Basic Qualifications:

Previous experience in a quota-driven environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills Proven track record in building relationships at all levels within assigned accounts This position requires a hybrid work model, with three days in the office and two days working remotely.
