We are seeking mid-level and senior Automation Controls Specialists with a strong background in industrial automation. This role offers a competitive hourly rate based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Automation Controls Specialist, your main duties will involve:
- Electrical Design: Create electrical schematics and designs using AutoCAD, interpret mechanical drawings for electrical specifications, and research supplier components.
- System Implementation: Power up and configure electrical systems according to application requirements, ensuring quality control during assembly.
- Software Development: Design and develop software applications based on client specifications, troubleshoot existing systems, and modify legacy code.
- Documentation: Write user manuals detailing the functionality of developed software and conduct risk assessments for safety systems.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in engineering or a related field (BSEE preferred).
- 6+ years of experience in the automation sector.
- 5+ years of PLC Development experience (preferably with Allen-Bradley or Omron).
- Experience in configuring HMI systems and programming Motion Controllers.
- Proficiency in programming robots and autonomous mobile robots.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for control system issues.
- Familiarity with Vision/Laser Systems programming is a plus.
General Requirements:
- Willingness to travel and work at client sites (10-15% travel).
- Availability for overtime as project demands require.
