Administrative Support Specialist

Job Responsibilities
In accordance with established guidelines, the incumbent will provide essential program and administrative support to a designated work unit. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing routine office and administrative tasks
- Coordinating meeting schedules and taking detailed minutes
- Drafting correspondence and maintaining organized records
- Managing supply orders and responding to inquiries about program services
- Acting as the primary point of contact for the work unit, directing inquiries appropriately
- Explaining established procedures and practices to stakeholders
- Possibly overseeing timesheet management and inputting time/leave into the payroll system for the assigned program area
Essential Qualifications
• Comprehensive understanding of office operations and practices
• Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software
• Ability to comprehend and adhere to established protocols and guidelines
• Strong communication skills
• Significant expertise in operating standard office machinery
Additional Considerations
• Prior experience in an office environment relevant to the program area is preferred
