About the Role

The University of Maine System is seeking an experienced Administrative Specialist to support the students, faculty, and staff of the School of Social Work. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school's administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide high-level administrative support to the school's leaders, including coordinating meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for students, faculty, and staff, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Project Coordination: Assist with the planning and execution of school events, including coordinating logistics, managing budgets, and ensuring seamless execution.
  • Document Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including meeting minutes, reports, and other documents.
  • Technology Support: Provide technical support for various digital platforms, including Mainestreet, Brightspace, FileMaker, and Google Suite.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with faculty, staff, and students to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Education: 60 credits or more of higher education or equivalent work experience and training.
  • Experience: Three years of administrative or project support experience or comparable experience.
  • Skills: Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and assign work.
