Position Overview:
As a key member of our HR team, the Human Resources Specialist will report directly to the HR Supervisor and play a vital role in the seamless execution of various HR functions on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Serve as a primary point of contact for employee and vendor inquiries, addressing a wide range of HR-related topics and providing effective resolutions or resources.
2. Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and orientation is delivered effectively.
3. Oversee the annual performance evaluation process, including organization, scheduling, tracking, and processing of related documents and compensation adjustments.
4. Manage the offboarding process for departing employees, which includes conducting exit interviews and handling all relevant documentation.
5. Administer the safety program, including reporting workplace injuries and managing Workers' Compensation claims.
6. Collaborate with the HR Supervisor on various initiatives, such as drafting and assessing job descriptions and developing salary structures.
7. Handle unemployment claims and associated processing tasks.
8. Maintain both paper and electronic employment records for current and former employees.
9. Ensure the employee handbook and policies are up-to-date and assist with policy interpretation as needed.

Metrics and Reporting:
Develop and maintain essential metrics for monthly reporting, including turnover statistics, employee counts, and salary planning data. Ensure timely and accurate completion of compliance reports, such as EEO-1 and other audits.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a generalist role, focusing on performance management, employee relations, and facilitation.
- Experience with benefits administration, payroll, and recruitment is advantageous.
- Familiarity with employment laws and regulations, particularly in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, is required.
- HR certification (SHRM or HRCI) is a plus.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems is essential.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, are necessary.
