Position Summary:
The Residential Support Specialist is tasked with ensuring a secure and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise all residents and visitors entering and exiting the facility.
2. Maintain a detailed log of all activities in the communication logbook.
3. Conduct regular patrols of resident floors and administrative areas.
4. Perform perimeter checks of the facility.
5. Respond to crisis situations and provide necessary support.
6. Collect and manage maintenance requests and submit them accordingly.
7. Facilitate orientation for new residents regarding building procedures (e.g., emergency exits, waste disposal, laundry, etc.).
8. Handle phone inquiries and direct calls as needed.
9. Monitor security surveillance systems and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED/HSE) or relevant experience.
- Background in institutional settings or security services is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is advantageous.
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification post-employment.
- Proficient in computer-based data entry and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent judgment and conflict resolution abilities.
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with an authorized vaccine or have an approved exemption.

Compensation:
Hourly rate of $20.00

Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel may be necessary for meetings or training sessions.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to monitor hallways in a multi-story building and climb stairs as needed.
