Position Overview
As a Residence Program Specialist, you will be instrumental in the care and growth of residents within one of our residential facilities. Your interactions will foster dignity and independence, cultivating a homelike atmosphere for those we assist. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver care and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment
- Guide residents in daily living skills and social interactions
- Participate in meetings and training sessions
- Address emergencies and crisis situations effectively
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents and resident progress
- Provide first aid as required
- Transport residents to various activities and events
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Driver's License
- Proficiency in English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective problem-solving capabilities
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience is advantageous
Compensation: $19.06/hour (post-probation) plus Benefits
