Job Overview

This position mandates proficiency in both English and Spanish, encompassing written and verbal communication.

Role Summary:

The Lead Residential Support Specialist is tasked with ensuring the overall well-being and security of families and children residing at the facility. This includes conducting regular inspections throughout the premises and interacting with families to foster a supportive environment. The Lead Residential Support Specialist will collaborate with the security personnel and management should any issues or concerns arise. Additionally, this role may involve accompanying case managers during room evaluations as necessary. Monitoring shared spaces to guarantee appropriate usage is also a key responsibility. Furthermore, the Lead Residential Support Specialist will be involved in conducting intake assessments during evening, overnight, and weekend shifts as required. This position also includes the oversight and scheduling of residential support staff during their assigned shifts.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a shelter or residential environment.
  • Familiarity with CARES is advantageous.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (both written and spoken) is essential.
  • A Food Protection Certificate is required within the initial weeks of employment.
  • A valid Driver's License is preferred.
