Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome new clients, ensuring a smooth transition into our shelter program.
  • Assist in the screening and processing of personal property, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Prepare and serve meals to residents, adhering to food safety guidelines.
  • Keep accurate records of meals served and maintain a clean and hygienic dining area.
  • Participate in social services and multidisciplinary team meetings, providing input and support as needed.
  • Engage with clients, providing guidance and advice to promote a positive and supportive environment.
  • Escort and assist clients to external appointments, such as HRA and Social Security Administration meetings.
  • Attend community resident meetings and promote a smoke-free and drug-free environment.
Requirements
  • H.S. diploma or GED and Certified Peer Specialist certification.
  • Knowledge of DHS rules and regulations, with the ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred, with basic computer literacy required.
  • Food handler safety certification, Opiate Overdose Prevention Training, and ability to administer Naloxone.
  • CPR training a plus or willingness to attain certification.
  • Ability to work alternate shifts and weekends.
