About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Program Manager to join our Global Payroll organization. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving the development and implementation of our global payroll strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive program plans, including roadmaps, dependency identification, and resourcing plans, in collaboration with product managers, engineering leads, and stakeholders.
  • Program Management: Establish and lead regular program-level meetings with product and engineering leadership to ensure projects are driven to successful outcomes, resolve program-level issues, and facilitate executive-level escalations and program-level change management.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Monitor the health of program delivery, track program-level status, risks, issues, and dependencies, and manage program-level communications to ensure stakeholders are informed of roadmap changes, release plans, and delivery status.
  • Metrics and Performance Improvement: Contribute to the definition, development, and tracking of effective metrics and R&D improvements that drive improved product team operating performance and lead regular reviews of program metrics and health.
  • Process Improvement and Adoption: Establish, document, and drive adoption of program frameworks, tools, and best practices, and consider roadblockers and delays as personal priorities, escalating issues appropriately and driving them to closure in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a TPM, Engineering Lead, Manager, or equivalent working directly with software engineering teams.
  • Proven track record of communicating technical issues effectively to technical and non-technical partners at different levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to build and implement detailed plans accounting for ambiguity, dependencies, and technical complexity in an agile environment.
  • Demonstrated excellence in the practice of technical program management, especially in establishing TPM processes from scratch.
  • Highly skilled in pragmatically identifying, tracking, and reporting on cross-team dependencies and collaboratively addressing them effectively with providing/receiving business units.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and a hands-on disposition.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization from engineers to executives.
  • Demonstrates 2+ years as a successful agilist and change agent, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Four-year Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related degree, or equivalent work experience.
