Senior Technical Program Manager for Fire Systems

Position Overview: As a Senior Technical Program Manager at Genentech, you will leverage your technical acumen to oversee all facets of extensive, intricate, and multidisciplinary projects from inception to completion. Your role will involve coordinating the design specifications for physical security and fire systems, as well as managing changes between internal teams and external partners, including solution architects and installers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to project standards for Physical Security and Fire Control Systems.
  • Gather fire design requirements, project scope, budgets, and timelines from project teams.
  • Supervise fire service providers executing fire-related projects.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects to ensure adequate support.
  • Monitor project schedules and performance through comprehensive project dashboards.
  • Review and update the Master Specification Standards for Fire Control Systems.
  • Develop and deliver training on the Fire Control System End-to-End process, covering all phases from Design and Construction to Handover.
  • Organize and lead weekly coordination meetings with the Fire Operations Team to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, identify risks, manage project timelines, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead and expand fire programs by establishing milestones, success criteria, resource allocation, and ensuring timely execution.
  • Comprehend the comprehensive solution and implementation strategy for large-scale fire programs.
  • Facilitate coordination among various cross-functional teams, setting clear expectations regarding responsibilities for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Utilize design and architectural knowledge to create and implement technical solutions alongside embedded Fire Operations teams.
  • Oversee the transition of Fire Control Systems to the Fire Service and Operations Team.
  • Prioritize tasks efficiently and navigate seamlessly across organizational boundaries.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 15+ years of professional experience at a senior level.
  • 15+ years of experience leading Fire Control System initiatives.
  • 10+ years in roles that influence senior leadership and executives with professionalism.
  • Proven track record in delivering a cohesive, integrated Security and Fire Platform.
  • Experience in integrating access control, digital video, identity management, incident management, and digital evidence management, enhanced with AI computer vision technology.
  • Exemplary communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in building, managing, and supporting complex programs.
  • Strong influencing and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Robust technical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently.

Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position is $144,000 - $267,400 USD annually, based on the primary location of California. Actual compensation will be determined by experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance.
