The Role Key Responsibilities:

As a Principal Technical Program Manager at Genentech, you will leverage your extensive technical knowledge to oversee all phases of intricate, large-scale projects, ensuring effective collaboration between internal teams and external partners, including solution architects and installers.

Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Ensuring adherence to project standards for Physical Security and Fire Control Systems.
  • Gathering fire design requirements, project scope, budgets, and timelines from project teams.
  • Managing fire vendors engaged in delivering fire safety projects.
  • Simultaneously overseeing multiple projects to guarantee consistent support.
  • Monitoring project schedules and performance through comprehensive project dashboards.
  • Reviewing and updating Master Specification Standards for Fire Control Systems.
  • Developing and delivering training on the end-to-end Fire Control System processes, from design to handover.
  • Coordinating weekly meetings with the Fire Operations Team to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements, assess risks, manage project timelines, and communicate effectively across departments.
  • Leading and expanding fire safety programs by establishing milestones, success criteria, and resource allocation for timely execution.
  • Understanding the comprehensive solution and implementation strategy for large-scale fire safety initiatives.
  • Facilitating coordination among various cross-functional teams and clarifying responsibilities for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Applying design and architectural expertise to create and implement technical solutions alongside embedded Fire Operations teams.
  • Overseeing the transition of Fire Control Systems to the Fire Service and Operations Team.
  • Prioritizing tasks efficiently and collaborating seamlessly across organizational boundaries.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Over 15 years of professional experience at a senior level.
  • More than 15 years of experience leading Fire Control System initiatives.
  • At least 10 years in roles influencing senior management and executives with professionalism.
  • Proven track record in delivering a cohesive, integrated Security and Fire Platform.
  • Experience in integrating access control, digital video, identity management, incident management, and digital evidence management, enhanced with AI computer vision technology.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Proficient in managing and supporting complex programs.
  • Exceptional influencing and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaborative skills.
  • Robust technical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $144,000 - $267,400 USD annually, based on the primary location of California. Actual compensation will be determined by experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance. This position also qualifies for comprehensive benefits.
