The Role Key Responsibilities:

As a Technical Program Manager at Genentech, you will leverage your technical acumen to oversee all phases of extensive, intricate, and multi-disciplinary initiatives from inception to completion. This includes coordinating the design specifications for physical security and fire systems, as well as managing changes between internal teams and external partners, including solution architects and installation teams.

The responsibilities for this role may encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring adherence to standards for Physical Security and Fire Control Systems projects.
  • Gathering fire design specifications, project scope, budgets, and timelines from project teams.
  • Overseeing fire vendors responsible for executing fire-related projects.
  • Managing multiple concurrent projects to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Monitoring schedules and performance through high-level project dashboards.
  • Updating and reviewing Master Specification Standards for Fire Control Systems.
  • Creating and delivering training on the End-to-End process for Fire Control Systems, from Design and Construction Intake to Handover, including gate reviews.
  • Organizing and leading weekly coordination meetings with the onsite Fire Operations Team to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements, identify risks, manage project timelines, and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners.
  • Leading and scaling fire programs by establishing milestones, success criteria, resource allocation, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Comprehending the comprehensive solution and implementation pathway for large, complex fire programs.
  • Facilitating coordination among various cross-functional teams and setting clear expectations regarding responsibilities for both internal and external clients.
  • Applying design and architectural knowledge to develop and implement technical solutions alongside embedded Fire Operations teams.
  • Providing oversight for the handover of Fire Control Systems to the Fire Service and Operations Team.
  • Prioritizing tasks effectively and collaborating seamlessly across organizational boundaries.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 15+ years of full-time professional experience.
  • 15+ years of experience leading Fire Control Systems programs.
  • 10+ years in roles that influence senior leaders and executives with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proven track record in delivering a unified, integrated Security and Fire Platform.
  • Experience in integrating access control, digital video, identity management, incident management, and digital evidence management, enhanced with an AI computer vision layer.
  • Exemplary communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in building, managing, and supporting complex programs.
  • Strong strategic thinking and influencing capabilities.
  • Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Robust technical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently or with minimal supervision.

The anticipated salary range for this position, based on the primary location of California, is $144,000 - $267,400 USD annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
