Position Overview: The Nutrition Specialist will deliver personalized dietary guidance for individuals across all age groups, from infants to seniors, focusing on health promotion and chronic illness management in accordance with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' established guidelines.

The Nutrition Specialist will collaborate with clients to create sustainable approaches for achieving a balanced diet, enhancing physical activity, managing medications, and addressing chronic health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute a tailored nutrition care plan with both immediate and long-term objectives based on a thorough assessment of dietary needs.
  • Analyze and apply relevant contemporary research to inform nutritional care practices.
  • Assess the effectiveness of nutritional strategies and provide ongoing support to ensure seamless care.
  • Guide individuals and families in nutritional concepts, meal planning, and food choices, customizing plans to meet individual requirements.
  • Employ age-appropriate educational techniques, effective motivational strategies, and reinforcement methods.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience is essential.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics is required.
  • A Master's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics is preferred.
  • Licensure as a Medical Nutrition Therapist through the relevant state health department and certification as a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist is mandatory.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Proficiency in standard office software, including Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health records, is necessary.
  • Exceptional communication and teaching abilities (both written and verbal) are required.
  • Demonstrated initiative, teamwork, and the ability to work independently are essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and accuracy are crucial.
  • Highly organized with the capability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse populations and cultures.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times.
