The Clinical Nutrition Specialist will deliver personalized dietary guidance for individuals across all age groups, from infants to seniors, focusing on health preservation and chronic illness management in accordance with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' established standards.
The specialist will collaborate with clients to formulate sustainable approaches for achieving a balanced diet, enhancing physical activity, managing medications, and addressing chronic health conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Designs and executes a tailored care plan for each patient, setting both immediate and long-term dietary objectives based on a thorough assessment of nutritional requirements.
- Analyzes and applies relevant contemporary research to inform nutritional care practices.
- Assesses dietary interventions and conducts follow-ups to ensure ongoing support and care continuity.
- Provides guidance to individuals and families on nutritional principles, meal planning, and food choices, customizing strategies to meet specific needs.
- Employs age-appropriate educational techniques, motivational strategies, and reinforcement methods.
- At least two years of clinical experience is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics.
- Master's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics is preferred.
- Must hold a Medical Nutrition Therapy license and be a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary.
- Proficient in standard office software, including Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, and electronic health records.
- Exceptional communication and teaching abilities (both written and verbal) are essential.
- Demonstrated initiative, teamwork, and the ability to work independently are required.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and accuracy are critical.
- Highly organized with the capability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to engage effectively with diverse populations and cultures.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times.
