Culinary and Nutrition Services Specialist III

Position Overview:
The Culinary and Nutrition Services Specialist III plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of food services within the healthcare environment. This position involves a variety of responsibilities that contribute to the overall dining experience of patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the procurement, management, and inventory of food supplies and catering services.
- Utilize specialized Nutrition and Dining Services software to coordinate menu options.
- Prepare and present both hot and cold meal items in accordance with established standards.
- Adhere to food safety protocols and ensure proper handling of all ingredients.
- Receive, store, and manage the distribution of food and related supplies.
- Prepare tailored meals for patients adhering to specific dietary requirements.
- Facilitate communication between Nursing Services and the Nutrition and Dining Services team.
- Operate the cash register and ensure accurate transaction reconciliation.
- Set up and provide service at catered events and functions.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels of supplies to ensure operational efficiency.
- Engage in departmental meetings, committees, and collaborative projects.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- A valid Food Handlers permit is mandatory.
- Candidates must be at least 16 years of age.
