This role involves collaborating with patients to formulate sustainable dietary habits, enhance physical activity, manage medications, and oversee chronic health issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute a tailored nutrition care plan with both immediate and long-term objectives based on a thorough assessment of dietary needs.
- Analyze and apply relevant contemporary research to inform nutritional care practices.
- Assess the effectiveness of nutritional strategies and provide ongoing support to ensure consistent care.
- Advise individuals and families on nutritional principles, meal planning, and food choices, customizing plans to meet specific needs.
- Employ age-appropriate educational techniques, motivational strategies, and reinforcement methods.
- At least two years of clinical experience is essential.
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics is required.
- A Master's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics is preferred.
- Must hold a Medical Nutrition Therapy license from the State of Nebraska and be a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Proficiency in standard office software such as Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, and electronic health records is required.
- Exceptional communication and teaching abilities (both written and verbal) are necessary.
- Demonstrated initiative, teamwork, and the capacity to work independently are essential.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and accuracy are required.
- Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to interact effectively with diverse populations and cultures.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times.
