We are seeking an experienced payments professional to join our Government Disbursements Sales team. This sales position is responsible for expanding and deepening our debit and prepaid and Visa Direct disbursements strategy with:

  • Federal, state, and local government agencies and various officials, including Governors, Treasurers, Controllers, Agency Heads, and other government entities.
  • Visa partners, including Issuers, Program Managers, Processors, FinTechs, vendors, and non-profits.
  • Non-Visa partners for securing Visa preference.
  • Driving new use cases, such as Tax Refunds, Disaster/Emergency Payments, and expanding existing use cases, including Government Payroll and Pension Benefits.
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have:

  • 12 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree, such as a Master's/MBA/JD/MD, or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD.
  • Solid payments experience with an emphasis on card payments.
  • Relationship and experience with Federal, State, and Local Government Agencies.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Card Issuing, Acquiring, Visa Direct, or similar experience is beneficial.
  • Exposure to servicing Financial Institution clients in these areas is required.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • Proven ability to implement strategic initiatives with efficiency, professionalism, and demonstrated trouble-shooting problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence and ability to effectively create and deliver presentations to all government agencies.
  • Ability to negotiate business agreements and enhance existing and new relationships.
  • Demonstrate understanding of financial indicators to measure business performance and an ability to summarize business and financial data in a useful manner for planning and decision-making.
  • Strong analytical skills for large volumes of aggregated data.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with high levels of success achievement.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Consulting experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Additional Information

This position requires:

  • Varying work hours based on department needs.
  • Travel requirements of 5-10% of the time.
  • Mental and physical requirements for an office setting, including sitting and standing at a desk, communicating in person and by telephone, and frequently operating standard office equipment.
