Senior Account Executive

Job Summary:
The Hill, a leading digital source for non-partisan political news and information, seeks a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive to drive revenue growth across DC and national accounts. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for creating and expanding relationships with senior-level clients, identifying new business opportunities, and developing innovative sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and execute a strategic sales plan to grow revenue by acquiring new clients and optimizing existing relationships through upselling and cross-selling.
- Sell multi-platform programs across digital, newsletters, events, print, video, and CTV to senior-level clients.
- Identify creative and original streams of sponsorship revenue and cultivate relationships to secure deals.
- Manage a territory of senior-level accounts and demonstrate a deep understanding of client needs, marketplace, and competitors.
- Collaborate with the marketing and events teams to create sponsorship opportunities and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Create and sustain strong relationships with clients to drive business growth.
Requirements:
- A motivated, resourceful, and responsive sales professional with a focus on meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
- Experience in selling digital and social media packages, as well as sponsorship opportunities, including events and branded content.
- A deep understanding of advocacy and the DC advertising market, with a keen interest in politics and policy.
- A consultative seller who approaches clients with an understanding of their needs and how to best partner to achieve those objectives.
- A concise and effective communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to create compelling and thoughtful proposals.
- Naturally competitive and collaborative, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.
