Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Manager to join our team at Washington State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the administrative, personnel, business, and fiscal functions of the Office for Access & Opportunity in Student Affairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Office for Access & Opportunity
  • Manage budgets, conduct fiscal analysis, and oversee grant and contract budgets
  • Supervise staff, make independent decisions about daily operations, and manage various projects and initiatives
  • Play a key role in short and long-term planning and assessment efforts within the Office for Access & Opportunity
  • Act as the main point of contact for the Executive Director with internal and external constituencies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and four (4) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • At least one (1) year of supervisory experience
  • Experience performing complex clerical duties, such as database management, financial record keeping, and coordinating office operations
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and be detail oriented
  • Experience using computer accounting information systems and/or applications software
  • Experience with budgets and grant management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with state and government regulations pertaining to fiscal management
  • Related experience at WSU or other higher education institutions
  • Experience with WSU, or other university, budget, accounting, and personnel systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Additional Information

This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule after completion of onboarding and training. The monthly salary for this position is $4,763.06, commensurate on qualifications, experience, and licensures.
