Position Overview

AAM is seeking a dedicated and self-driven individual for our Manufacturing Engineering Co-op role. This position will collaborate closely with the Manufacturing Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support process engineering initiatives within designated manufacturing areas.
  • Oversee engineering modifications as they arise.
  • Assist in diagnosing daily production challenges using root cause analysis methods.
  • Maintain quality and process documentation, including control plans and tooling sheets.
  • Conduct tolerance stack-ups to aid in tooling design.
  • Develop and manage program-tracking documentation.
  • Comply with corporate engineering policies and procedures.
  • Implement safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications

Candidates must be enrolled as full-time students at an accredited institution, pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.

Availability to work at least 25 hours per week during academic periods is essential.

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is necessary, along with the ability to learn other software utilized by various AAM departments.

Strong oral and written communication skills, along with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, are mandatory.
