Position Title: Senior Engineer, Manufacturing

Company: Orchid Orthopedic Solutions

  • Accountable for the exploration, development, and implementation of additive manufacturing techniques.
  • Acts as a key technical expert in 3D printing and post-processing, working collaboratively with various departments.
  • Assesses intricate engineering challenges and offers technical mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Contributes significantly to strategic business initiatives associated with additive manufacturing.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Designs and oversees the establishment of new manufacturing processes as required.
  • Engages in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) evaluations.
  • Generates documentation, designs tools, and guarantees effective execution on the production floor.
  • Assists problem-solving teams, develops programs, and undergoes training in diverse engineering disciplines.
  • Aims to achieve site annual and strategic goals by implementing best practices and processes.
  • Supports the management operating system and transformation initiatives at the site level.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S) in Engineering is mandatory; Master’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience is required; 7 years is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience with CNC equipment and machining is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred.
