Position Title: Senior Engineer, Manufacturing
Company: Orchid Orthopedic Solutions
- Accountable for the exploration, development, and implementation of additive manufacturing techniques.
- Acts as a key technical expert in 3D printing and post-processing, working collaboratively with various departments.
- Assesses intricate engineering challenges and offers technical mentorship to junior engineers.
- Contributes significantly to strategic business initiatives associated with additive manufacturing.
Core Responsibilities:
- Designs and oversees the establishment of new manufacturing processes as required.
- Engages in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) evaluations.
- Generates documentation, designs tools, and guarantees effective execution on the production floor.
- Assists problem-solving teams, develops programs, and undergoes training in diverse engineering disciplines.
- Aims to achieve site annual and strategic goals by implementing best practices and processes.
- Supports the management operating system and transformation initiatives at the site level.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (B.S) in Engineering is mandatory; Master’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience is required; 7 years is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience with CNC equipment and machining is preferred.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred.
