Job Overview

The Panther Group is seeking a skilled Aircraft Engine Process Specialist to enhance our operations. This role involves critical analysis and the development of effective methods for the repair and overhaul of intricate aircraft engine components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret technical manuals and data to formulate the necessary processes for the maintenance and refurbishment of complex aircraft engine parts.
  • Establish processes, operational sequences, dimensions, and tolerances, while creating and updating work instructions and routing documents.
  • Deliver essential training to the workforce regarding new and revised processes.
  • Assess and refine repair processes to boost capability and production volume, all while ensuring and enhancing product quality.
  • Guarantee that projects are executed on schedule and efficiently.
  • Take initiative in problem-solving efforts, identify suitable actions, and implement corrective measures.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with various departments, including Engineering, Quality, and Operations.
  • Lead the Process Plan Overhaul Team in revising repair processes and transitioning to the Solumina G8 system.
  • Engage with the workforce to gather insights for repair process planning and work instructions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, military, DOD, and aerospace standards and requirements.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, experience with Kaizen events, or involvement in continuous improvement programs.
  • Experience in translating technical specifications into operator-level work instructions.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft O365 suite.
  • Strong communication skills.
