Job Description:
This prominent aerospace organization is in search of a manufacturing engineer to provide support for aftermarket operations.
The selected candidate will be tasked with delivering daily engineering assistance to production teams, with an emphasis on converting technical specifications into actionable process plans for production mechanics while addressing any technical challenges related to processes and equipment.
Schedule: Monday- Friday, 9-hour workdays, commencing at 7:00 AM, totaling 45 hours per week. Overtime compensation applies for hours exceeding 40.
- Review and analyze technical manuals and documentation to formulate methods and processes essential for the repair and refurbishment of intricate components.
- Draft process plans and work instructions for implementation by production mechanics.
- Plan operational sequences, estimate required timeframes, and develop schedules.
- Assess conditions that are out of tolerance or unknown regarding aircraft engine components.
- Investigate, define, and establish requirements for equipment, tooling, and materials, including decisions on manufacturing versus procurement and facility layout adjustments for new or modified products.
- Identify and resolve process-related issues.
- Provide technical support to operational teams.
- Consult with external engineering partners as necessary to address hardware or process challenges.
- Coordinate various manufacturing and automation initiatives.
- Offer technical guidance and support to suppliers engaged in repair tasks.
- Analyze process data to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical capacity, with the ability to contribute effectively from day one.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in interpreting manufacturing drawings into 3D models and GD&T.
- Experience in translating technical requirements into operator-level work instructions (drawings, prints, manuals).
