Position Overview

AAM is seeking a dedicated and self-driven individual for the role of Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op. This position will be integrated within our Manufacturing Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support process engineering initiatives within designated manufacturing areas.
  • Oversee engineering modifications as they arise.
  • Assist in diagnosing daily production challenges using root cause analysis methods.
  • Maintain quality and process documentation, including control plans and tooling sheets.
  • Conduct tolerance stack-ups to aid in tooling design.
  • Develop and manage program-tracking documentation.
  • Comply with corporate engineering policies and procedures.
  • Implement safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Candidates must be enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited institution, pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.

Availability to work at least 25 hours per week during academic terms is essential, along with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with a keen attention to detail, are mandatory.
