The Marketing team is responsible for growing the Blue Owl brand and driving assets into key commercial products. Our goal is to raise the firm's visibility and obtain and retain clients, using our global marketing and communications platform to address all investment strategies, regions, and client channels. The Job Description
We are seeking a creative, results-driven, hands-on Head of Digital Strategy to develop, implement, measure and optimize Blue Owl's marketing strategies across all digital channels, effectively translating business objectives into exceptional web experiences. This professional is responsible for driving and creating a digital strategy to maximize reach and promote efficient and engaging content and messaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Help build and develop a globally relevant set of digital properties that work together effectively and efficiently across channels and regions.
- Effectively translate organizational strategies and goals to corresponding digital initiatives across multiple channels. Ensure digital activities are fully integrated with broader marketing team initiatives.
- Translate ideas and content for the web and multi-media platforms to maximize reach and create optimal user experiences in the digital space.
- Function as an analytical, digital thought leader; identifying digital marketing trends, new technologies, evolving best practices and competitor activity that help drive the business.
- Develop a framework to maintain digital properties, set priorities, streamline efficiencies and maximize growth and productivity.
- Prioritize, schedule, assign and track digital projects from inception through completion to ensure effective planning, timeline management and high-quality deliverables.
- Partner with business colleagues to define key brand and business development objectives.
- Drive, plan and execute SEO/SEM campaigns and social media presence in accordance with brand and regulatory guidelines.
- Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and websites. Create dashboards to measure effectiveness of communications and alternate approaches. Identify and package user data into actionable plans.
- Partner with other internal groups (IT, Legal, Compliance, BD, Portfolio Management) and with external vendors to deliver a world-class digital client experience.
Requirements
- At least 10 years experience in digital marketing in a financial services environment.
- Exceptional understanding and technical expertise of all aspects of digital marketing channels.
- Skilled at strategic marketing planning, digital strategy, paid search and social media.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to derive actionable insights from web and user data.
- Experience building platforms and services using both internal teams and external agency solutions.
- Excellent ability to develop and manage processes while working efficiently on a variety of projects.
- Ability to identify actionable insights and implement continuous process improvements.
- Ability to assimilate to new experiences, learn quickly and absorb a steep growth curve.
