Position Overview: We are currently seeking a seasoned Senior Project Control Specialist to enhance our team. This role is critical in supporting our clients in the defense and law enforcement sectors.

Compensation: Competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 based on experience.

Work Arrangement: This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for four days of remote work with one day in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive cost, schedule, and funding planning, reporting, and analysis support to Program Managers and leadership.
  • Develop and sustain project-level forecasts for Financial Planning and Analysis leadership.
  • Oversee project initiation in accordance with contractual obligations and requirements.
  • Compile program financial Estimates at Complete (EAC) and ensure timely submission.
  • Identify and assess project risks and opportunities, collaborating with PM, Contracts, Procurement, and Finance/Accounting for resolutions.
  • Review all contract modifications and advise the program management team on potential impacts.
  • Monitor weekly costs and manpower, ensuring adherence to budget and accurate job number allocations.
  • Conduct analytical reviews and arithmetic checks of cost reporting documentation.
  • Prepare thorough variance analysis and reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of Internal Program Review (IPR) presentations for management.
  • Generate financial Contract Data Requirements (CDRL) for programs, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analyses as requested by PMO and other stakeholders.
  • Track funding and contract status, providing timely updates on funding details as necessary.
  • Support accounts receivable during billing processes, ensuring timely resolution of billing issues.
  • Prepare subcontractor and vendor accruals in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Ensure program revenue and profit are recorded in line with EAC requirements.
  • Analyze profit risks and opportunities, advising management on strategic decisions.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and company policies related to contract performance and financials.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Program Management is preferred, along with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in Program Control or a related field with a focus on Finance or Accounting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Program Control or a related field is required.
  • Ability to comprehend various contract types, including Firm Fixed Price, Time and Materials, and Cost Plus contracts.
  • Proficiency in Excel and the MS Office suite, along with familiarity with relevant software applications.
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint is advantageous.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the capability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Ability to foster relationships across the organization and drive transformation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with all organizational levels, including senior management.
