Job Details
Job Summary GeoLogics Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced electronic warfare systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, analyze, and test RF, analog, and digital electronic circuits.
  • Integrate, test, troubleshoot, and verify electrical hardware.
  • Develop test criteria and assist in the design of test systems, including test software applications.
  • Perform component and architecture trade studies to determine optimal system solutions.
  • Develop technical presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain technical issues to program management and customers.
  • Generate design and interface documentation.
  • Experience with the engineering development life cycle, including concept, requirements, design, implementation, and test phases.
  • Develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Performs technical activities that impact the proposal, system-level design, detail design, and manufacture of advanced electronic warfare systems.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Leads development of strategic tasks or small projects by applying engineering and organizational knowledge and expertise to achieve technical goals and objectives.
  • Understands and interprets the technical, organizational, and process aspects of the task assigned and can relate them to the technical needs of the overall large project.
  • Actively uncovers technical and organizational risks and ensures they are included in risk mitigation plans.

Requirements
  • Prior experience in RF System Design.
  • Proficiency in all phases of PCB design, including creation of high-level functional and architectural diagrams, SPICE analysis, power analysis, component selection, schematic entry, and working with the PCB layout team to optimize placement, signal integrity, fitment, etc.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills with demonstrated success leading design teams for complex projects.
  • Experience in analog and digital circuit design, including signal integrity principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in test, troubleshooting, and analyzing circuit card schematics.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate technical staff.
  • Experience with MATLAB programming a plus.
  • Team player committed to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
  • Motivated to drive innovation in design architectures, assembly, component selection, and electronics design.
  • Experienced in technical project management.
  • Effectively communicates technical and programmatic matters to senior-level management, program offices, and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Has respect of peers and colleagues for technical credibility.
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field. Also requires 10+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree plus 8 years of job-related experience.
  • Expert-level understanding of the organizationally defined electrical processes throughout the lifecycle of the program or project.
  • Collaborative, creative thinker with demonstrated success leading design teams for complex projects.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the capacity to drive innovation and secure buy-in on concepts and ideas.
  • Experienced in the art of negotiation with ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions.
