Overview:

LinQuest is in search of a Systems Engineer to support SATCOM synchronization initiatives. This role involves engaging with the National Security SATCOM System Synchronization Roadmap (NS4R) database, collaborating with various Department of Defense (DOD) entities to produce comprehensive analyses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the NS4R database for trends in system usage, synchronization between terminals and space segments, and overall SATCOM architecture.
  • Assist DOD services and organizations with data input into the database.
  • Contribute to DOD-level directives to initiate data calls.
  • Support government objectives by creating synchronization visuals, trend analyses, and executive presentations.
  • Coordinate the execution of data calls with senior DOD agencies, including the Joint Staff and Headquarters United States Space Force (USSF).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, chemistry, mathematics, or computer science.
  • Over 5 years of experience in SATCOM programs, encompassing both tactical and strategic systems.
  • More than 5 years of proven experience in systems engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience with ground systems, including terminals, modems, and networks.
  • Experience with both tactical and strategic MILSATCOM programs.
  • Experience in managing professional relationships with military or DoD civilian clients.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, along with effective presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to articulate ideas, recommendations, and options clearly to customers and stakeholders.
  • Active Secret clearance is required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in systems engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in SATCOM programs, including both tactical and strategic systems.
  • 10+ years of experience with military space systems and protected MILSATCOM systems.
  • 10+ years of experience with ground systems, such as terminals, modems, and networks.
  • Professional certifications like INCOSE CSEP, ASEP, or PMP.
  • Familiarity with agile software development and DevSecOps methodologies.

Compensation:

Starting salary ranges from approximately $110,000 to $120,000, based on relevant experience and qualifications.
