ASRC Federal System Solutions is seeking a highly skilled SATCOM Terminal Technician to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO.
This position supports Operations and Maintenance (O&M) for the Modernization of Enterprise Terminals (MET) and the Milstar Satellite Communications terminals.
The Terminal Technician will provide 24/7 shift coverage to perform O&M of the SATCOM terminals and associated baseband equipment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing Operation and Maintenance (O&M) for SATCOM terminals and related equipment, including equipment status monitoring and operation.
- Coordinating and responding to messages from interfacing organizations such as tech control, DISA, and network control centers.
- Troubleshooting links, trunks, and circuits.
- Performing preventative maintenance on assigned equipment, troubleshooting equipment problems, and performing corrective maintenance.
- Supporting equipment upgrades.
- Performing work center quality inspections.
- Performing work center additional duties and logistics activities, including forward supply point, bench stock inventories, and ordering.
- Performing training and maintaining training records.
- Supporting other contract functional areas as required.
Requirements:
- Must have current IAT Level 2 certification (Security + or equivalent).
- High School diploma or equivalent, plus three years of experience in SATCOM operations and maintenance or similar communications systems.
- Completion of SATCOM/communications/systems operations and/or maintenance course or equivalent experience required.
- Must be able to work shift schedule.
- Requires an active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
