Job Overview

LinQuest is in search of a Satellite Communications Systems Specialist to support synchronization tasks related to SATCOM. This role involves collaboration with various defense entities to conduct comprehensive analyses and ensure effective communication systems integration.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the National Security SATCOM System Synchronization Roadmap (NS4R) database for trends in system utilization and synchronization between terminals and space segments.
  • Assist defense services and agencies with the input of data into the NS4R database.
  • Contribute to Department of Defense (DOD) taskings to initiate data calls.
  • Generate synchronization graphics, trend reports, and executive briefings to support government priorities.
  • Coordinate the execution of data calls with senior-level DOD agencies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in SATCOM programs, encompassing both tactical and strategic systems.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in systems engineering.
  • Experience with ground systems, including terminals, modems, and networks.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage professional relationships with military or DOD civilian clients.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Active Secret clearance is mandatory for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technical field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in systems engineering and SATCOM programs.
  • Experience with military space systems and protected MILSATCOM systems.
  • Professional certifications such as INCOSE CSEP, ASEP, or PMP.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
