WSP is currently seeking a Business Development/Client Relationship Manager - Energy Storage.

The UGS team provides essential support to clients with subsurface geological and engineering requirements for the design, development, maintenance, and operation of underground storage facilities, including salt caverns, depleted reservoirs, and disposal wells.

Your Contributions
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with prospective clients
  • Secure business opportunities from new clientele
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with existing clients
  • Drive revenue growth from current client accounts
  • Conduct client visits, including networking lunches and dinners
  • Coordinate business development initiatives with UGS project teams
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals
  • Review bid documents and negotiate pricing
  • Establish connections with vendors
  • Deliver presentations to clients
  • Participate in project kickoff meetings and site visits
  • Conduct follow-up calls post-project completion
  • Attend industry conferences
  • Visit WSP project sites
  • Propose business development strategies to leadership

Essential Qualifications
  • Proficient in basic computer skills for communication and document creation
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong presentation capabilities
  • In-depth knowledge of the oil and gas sector
  • Understanding of production or injection well technologies
  • Self-motivated and a collaborative team player
  • Over 10 years of experience in business development or sales
  • Skilled in technical writing and proposal development
  • Familiarity with cost estimation and scheduling
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Demonstrated ethical decision-making regarding company resources and adherence to WSP's Code of Conduct
  • Proven commitment to workplace safety and compliance with WSP's health and safety policies
  • Must successfully complete WSP's Motor Vehicle screening
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of salt caverns, gas storage, and disposal wells
  • Familiarity with industry clients, consultants, and suppliers
  • Experience in preparing cost proposals for well construction and maintenance
  • 15+ years of business development or sales experience
  • Prior consulting experience
  • Published technical papers and conference presentations
