This role entails boosting market presence, sales, and profitability of New, Used, and Allied Equipment, along with Long Term Maintenance Agreements (LTM's) and other support services offered by MH Equipment Company, while fostering Customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales, enhance gross profit, expand market share, and meet established objectives.
  • Develop and sustain Customer relationships through regular sales interactions and communications.
  • Identify potential prospects and formulate/execute strategic plans to convert them into Customers.
  • Assist Customers with demonstrations, application assessments, and product transitions.
  • Follow up on all Customer inquiries from various sources.
  • Engage in product promotions from both external and internal channels.
  • Oversee all custom programs implemented at assigned accounts.
  • Initiate, maintain, and manage quotations and orders in line with Company policies and procedures.
  • Utilize Customer Relationship Management tools to maintain Customer information and notes, ensuring periodic reviews with management.
  • Address any Customer concerns or complaints to ensure satisfaction.
  • Support account terms and assist with collections as necessary.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of appropriate credits and/or returns.
  • Strengthen vendor relationships by supporting initiatives and collaborating with their representatives.
  • Participate in all sales or Company meetings.
  • Engage in Company-sponsored training sessions to enhance selling skills and technical knowledge.
  • Prepare periodic budgets, action plans, summaries, and other reports as required by management.
  • Maintain regular communication with inside sales personnel and management.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor in appearance, attire, and preparation.
  • Adhere to Company and Sales Department policies and procedures.
  • Continuously pursue knowledge of the Territory, Markets, and Competitors.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in industrial sales, preferably in material handling.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – Demonstrates honesty, ethics, and integrity consistently.
  • Ability to develop a sales strategy and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in time and territory management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and web searches.
  • Present a professional image in personal appearance, attire, and preparation.

Working Conditions:

Flexibility to work according to Customer needs, which may require exceeding a 40-hour workweek, including some overnight travel and weekend commitments. A reliable vehicle is necessary for travel within the territory. The Branch office serves as the primary location for this position, which is exempt from paid overtime.
