Position Overview

The Senior Sales Executive for Crop Protection is tasked with enhancing the market presence of Bayer's crop protection solutions within a specified region. This role involves generating demand among retailers, dealers, and leading agricultural producers, with accountability for achieving annual sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales targets for Bayer products in collaboration with team members.
  • Formulate and execute business strategies for dealers, including proactive inventory management and demand forecasting.
  • Act as a primary consultant for retailers and dealers, effectively communicating the benefits of Bayer Crop Science products.
  • Showcase product performance and advantages over competitors, leveraging extensive product knowledge.
  • Work closely with fellow sales representatives, customer advisors, and agronomists to optimize service delivery and sales to key accounts.
  • Manage inventory challenges to ensure business objectives are met while anticipating market demands.
  • Collect and analyze market and competitive data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop and propose strategies for achieving both short-term and long-term business goals.
  • Oversee budget management, ensuring compliance with Bayer's financial policies.
  • Continuously enhance personal selling skills and product knowledge while mentoring junior team members.
  • Ensure successful execution of marketing initiatives at both national and regional levels.
  • Lead collaborative efforts with team members to build strong relationships with top agricultural producers and retailers.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced sales representatives.
  • Address and resolve claims in accordance with Bayer's policies through effective problem-solving and resource management.
  • Travel as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities, primarily within the designated region.
  • Drive growth in market share for Crop Protection and related products within the territory.

Candidate Profile

Bayer is seeking a candidate who meets the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven initiative and ability to achieve results.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Expertise in financial and territory management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to analyze data to inform decision-making.
  • Willingness to travel and work in rural settings.
  • Commitment to fostering teamwork and collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 6+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or account management within the agricultural sector, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred knowledge of product lines and agronomic practices.
