POSITION SUMMARY:

The Regional Sales Executive will strategize, oversee, and implement a comprehensive business plan for Kent products within the designated dealer sales territory. The primary focus will be on dealer-based customers, ensuring robust relationships and business growth within the assigned geographic region.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Employ structured account management and collaborative selling techniques to nurture existing accounts and drive new revenue streams.
  • Allocate approximately 60% of time to managing current customers and 40% to identifying new prospects.
  • Develop and uphold detailed account business plans that encompass distribution, marketing initiatives, promotional activities, and nutritional guidance.
  • Actively participate in Trade and Consumer events, representing the Kent brand and advocating for its products.
  • Gather consistent customer feedback to refine forecasts and establish long-term strategic plans.
  • Spot new revenue opportunities through enhanced account engagement and nutritional insights.
  • Facilitate strong customer relationships through regular presentations, effective communication, and constructive feedback.
  • Coordinate with internal support teams through regular review sessions with management and dealer staff.
  • Ensure account profitability aligns with departmental objectives for revenue, margins, market share, and execution excellence.
  • Utilize Saleslogix weekly to document all account activities.
  • Maintain regular communication with Territory Sales Manager and Regional Sales Manager.
  • Conduct monthly expense reconciliations.

EDUCATION:

A Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science or a related agricultural field, or a combination of relevant education and experience is required.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years of experience in outside sales management, preferably with a focus on local or regional accounts.
  • Demonstrated success in sales, prospecting, and territory management within the animal science or agribusiness sectors.
  • Experience in the sales of animal feed products is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in utilizing computer technology, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to travel to customer locations and physically assess animal production facilities.
  • Knowledge and experience in animal nutrition are essential.

TRAVEL:

Regular travel is a requirement for this position.
