Position Details:

  • 12-month contract with potential for extension.

Role Overview:

  • This position will focus on the integration of the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) cycle into a cohesive and actionable production strategy that supports various intricate aerospace projects across multiple production sites.
  • Accountable for the development, upkeep, and execution of the industrial strategy, along with forecasting and demand & capacity assessments.
  • Enhance production and quality inspection scheduling tools, systems, reports, and processes to boost the efficiency and effectiveness of the production and quality teams.
  • Report directly to the Vice President of Production and serve as a vital member of the extended leadership team across multiple sites.
  • Support the quality organization and lead a team of 2 or more professionals.
  • Engage regularly with all organizational levels, from executives to temporary staff.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain integrated production planning and SIOP inputs.
  • Support the program integrated master schedule through planning elements.
  • Refine forecasting processes within the production system and SIOP framework.
  • Utilize best practices and standards for process and tool integration.
  • Provide leadership and direction for the Operations group, aligning efforts with the company's overarching mission and vision.
  • Facilitate collaboration across key stakeholders from various business areas, including Program Management, Master Scheduling, Finance, Business Development, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Maintain close collaboration with Manufacturing and Installation teams.
  • Work with senior management, engineering teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to define and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Leverage forecasts and departmental capacities to ensure timely achievement of milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop and sustain production plans for materials planning and SIOP.
  • Ensure operational data remains accurate throughout the lifecycle of master production plans and job orders, providing real-time visibility for all projects.
  • Refine forecasting processes within the ERP system and SIOP framework.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Engineering with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, including five years in a management role.
  • PMP Certification is preferred.
  • Aerospace or aircraft interior industry experience is required.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, along with the ability to manage influence.
  • Technical acumen and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience leading and executing the SIOP process.
  • Ability to operate within a multi-functional team.
  • Proficient in executive-level communication and presentation skills, including Microsoft PowerPoint and advanced Excel.
  • Experience in integrated program planning and scheduling.
  • Proven ability to drive business strategy and navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and experience with data analysis.
  • Demonstrated project management experience and ability to lead cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of aerospace certification processes and quality standards.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Capability to handle various abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and project management software.
  • Willingness to travel and relocate as necessary.
  • Ability to work outside of core business hours as required.
