Job Summary

Firstrust Bank is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing integrated sales strategies to support the growth of business customers. This includes developing new bank business relationships through segment-based sales plans to achieve revenue growth targets and maximize operating capabilities and profitability.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to communicate and exchange information with all levels of management, clients, and outside vendors. They will also have a thorough knowledge of banking products and services, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops new business with customers, former customers, prospects, and referral sources.
  • Develops and implements select customer referral strategies to increase client satisfaction and portfolio growth for business customers.
  • Arranges meetings between customers or prospective customers and appropriate bank representatives.
  • Negotiates credit terms, such as credit structure costs, loan repayment methods, and collateral specifications.
  • Provides superior sales and service to our Business Banking customer and prospect base.
  • Grows and maintains revenue, provides personalized service, and effectively cross-sells.
  • Identifies and provides the appropriate financial solutions to maximize retention rates, growth, and profitability.
  • Contacts and visits prospective customers to determine product/services needs and performs sales presentations to match company products with identified needs.
  • Provides guidance to customers to make informed decisions about their financial needs.
  • Ensures a consistent approach on segment-related deals by previewing all deals to assist with credit concerns and facilitate deal flow.
  • Reviews all loan documents for accuracy prior to closing.
  • Executes all loan documents properly and accurately.
  • Files or forwards for filing all loan documents according to existing procedure once executed.
  • Collaborates with Branch Managers, Credit Risk, Portfolio Manager, and Regional Business Bankers to close business opportunities.
  • Represents the bank in various civic and community functions to enhance its image and develop new business.
  • Performs duties as assigned by the SVP, Team Leader-Small Business Sales.
