About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Coordinator to join our team at Helix Electric. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting our senior project management team and ensuring the successful delivery of electrical projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Close support of senior project management team, providing administrative and technical assistance as needed.
  • Develop and support project management techniques and schedule goals, procurement and contractual requirements, personnel assignments, and capacity planning.
  • Evaluate and continually improve the systems and processes used by the department to effectively meet customer requirements and profitability goals.
  • Ensure schedule requirements are met, adjusting priorities and milestones as necessary.
  • Interact with customers to validate expectations and ensure they are met before, during, and after project completion.
  • Provide close support and oversight for third-party construction firms and subcontractors.
  • Manage project review process, with a focus on financial forecasting.
  • Ensure high-quality engineering, studies, and Helix project delivery.
  • Proactively communicate challenges, risks, and successes to stakeholders.
  • Oversee monthly invoicing process and negotiate change orders as needed.
  • Coordinate with Site Superintendents to understand installation methods, labor needs, and manpower forecasts.
  • Support adherence to Quality Control processes.
  • Ensure downstream team members meet deadlines on assigned tasks.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of Project Engineer experience in the electrical construction industry.
  • Understanding of engineering in electric power.
  • Field experience coordinating with construction management.
  • Extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take offs, change orders, and contracts.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and assist in winning projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to run a profitable portfolio.
  • BSEE or Construction Management degree strongly preferred.
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician's license a plus.
Compensation

The starting annual base pay for this role is between $ and $, dependent on factors such as location, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The role may also be eligible for a vehicle allowance plan, bonus, and benefits.
