The Facilities Engineer will support plant-wide operations, focusing on mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical control systems, along with life safety systems. Responsibilities include designing, budgeting, and implementing enhancements to processes and facility equipment to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and improve reliability. Collaboration with Facilities staff, Maintenance, Engineering, Production, and external contractors is essential for the preparation, coordination, and execution of assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities• Design and execute repairs or modifications to existing facility and plant equipment.
• Develop facility plans, layouts, and schematics for renovations, new construction, and equipment installations.
• Coordinate project activities with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to ensure completion within budget and on schedule, minimizing production downtime.
• Create work scope documents, solicit bids, and select contractors as necessary for project execution.
• Act as project manager during implementation, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Identify opportunities for upgrading factory equipment or automation systems to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Generate project cost and savings estimates for budgeting purposes and assist in developing capital project proposals.
• Coordinate and define work scopes for external maintenance and contractor services, including mechanical, HVAC, landscaping, fire protection, roofing, and structural work.
• Provide support to maintenance technicians, process engineers, and production staff in troubleshooting factory equipment and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with PACCAR policies and applicable codes and standards.
• Offer maintenance supervision support as required.
A bachelor's degree in engineering is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is required.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects with adaptability to changing priorities.
• Familiarity with building, electrical, mechanical, and industrial life safety codes is essential.
• Experience with medium voltage electrical equipment maintenance and testing is preferred but not essential.
• Hands-on experience with industrial control systems, automation software, Ignition SCADA, and PLC programming is advantageous but not mandatory.
PACCAR values talent and encourages professional growth. Compensation is determined based on various factors, including education, training, and experience. The salary range for this position is $96,700 to $137,600 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
