Role Overview & Significance

The Investment teams at GroupM are pivotal in executing comprehensive media strategies. Collaborating closely with our planning teams, they are tasked with the negotiation and procurement of media across various platforms, including traditional and digital avenues such as premium video, mobile, and OTT. As the Client Investment Manager, you will represent your team and your client to senior management, oversee daily client interactions, and offer support and mentorship to your team members. By effectively partnering with Planning, Analytics, Operations, and other departments, you will gain a thorough understanding of your client(s)' goals and challenges, guiding junior staff on how to achieve these objectives.

Core Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Corporate Leadership to formulate and implement market strategies while leveraging top-tier systems.
  • Ensure a consistent methodology and strategy for marketplace interactions and communicate this to teams.
  • Enhance communication between Investment and Analytics/Planning/Operations to bring client strategies to fruition and execute campaigns efficiently.
  • Advance client and GroupM strategies within the marketplace across the vendor ecosystem.
  • Continuously assess and benchmark the marketplace to enhance year-over-year efficiencies and value for clients.
  • Provide strategic insights to senior client partners, advising on integrated media strategies across both traditional and digital platforms, including search, social, and programmatic as necessary.
  • Develop perspectives on new innovations and opportunities within the media landscape and offer strategic insights.
  • Encourage the professional development and growth of the Investment team members.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, business administration, or communications; or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant media investment experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing and mentoring junior team members.
  • Strong ability to build and sustain relationships with a diverse range of media partners and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities within a media investment team.
  • Successful track record in client relationship management.
  • Robust quantitative and analytical reporting skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to present effectively to clients and leadership at all levels.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, with intermediate skills in PowerPoint and Word.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the current media landscape.
