Position Overview

Role Summary

Angel's Flight operates as a refuge for homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth aged 10-17. We are in search of a dedicated individual who is committed to positively impacting the lives of our most vulnerable populations. This role involves engaging with refugee and immigrant youth, offering case management, emotional support, crisis intervention, and access to vital resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of shelter operations, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment.
  • Provide counseling to residents and staff regarding shelter-related matters; assist in case management efforts.
  • Contribute to policy formulation, fundraising initiatives, public relations, budgeting, staffing, and program development.
  • Oversee budgetary considerations, review purchasing activities, and manage supply inventory.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of shelter programs.
  • Engage in fundraising activities and support program development.
  • Implement, monitor, and report on quality improvement initiatives and objectives.
  • Conduct assessments to identify community needs prior to program implementation.
  • Address personnel issues effectively.
  • Enforce existing policies and develop new policies as needed.
  • Maintain public relations with community organizations, private citizens, and groups for fundraising purposes.
  • Supervise staff and volunteer schedules.
  • Train, instruct, and evaluate assigned personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records related to shelter operations.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in social work, behavioral sciences, human services, or a related field is required.
  • One to three years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience is essential.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, both written and verbal.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as an enthusiastic team member.
  • Frequent travel is required; a valid class C driver's license is necessary.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and effective team management skills.
Work Schedule

This position requires availability from 4:00 pm to 12:00 am, with a commitment of 40 hours per week on a rotating schedule.
