Position Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to oversee Angel's Flight, a shelter catering to homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth aged 10-17. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable populations, particularly refugee and immigrant children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of shelter operations, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment.
  • Provide counseling and support to residents and staff regarding shelter-related matters, including case management.
  • Contribute to policy formulation, fundraising initiatives, public relations efforts, budgeting, staffing, and program development.
  • Assist in budget management, review purchasing activities, and oversee inventory and supply levels.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of shelter programs.
  • Engage in fundraising activities and community outreach.
  • Implement, monitor, and report on quality improvement plans and objectives.
  • Conduct assessments to identify community needs prior to program development.
  • Address personnel issues and enforce existing policies.
  • Develop new policies to adapt to program changes.
  • Maintain relationships with community agencies and stakeholders for fundraising purposes.
  • Supervise staff and volunteer schedules, ensuring effective operations.
  • Train, evaluate, and guide assigned staff members.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, behavioral sciences, human services, or a related field is required.
  • One to three years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience is essential.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, both written and verbal.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as an enthusiastic team member.
  • Frequent travel is required; a valid class C driver's license is necessary.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills are crucial.
Work Schedule

This position requires availability from 4:00 pm to 12:00 am, with a commitment of 40 hours per week on a rotating schedule.
