We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our Angel's Flight program, a shelter designed for homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth aged 10-17. This role is pivotal in making a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable youth, particularly those who are refugees or immigrant children.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized, intensive case management to youth and their families.
- Oversee the reunification process for minors transitioning from federal custody to family settings in Southern California.
- Conduct thorough assessments of potential sponsors and their families, ensuring cultural and linguistic sensitivity.
- Engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and varying socioeconomic statuses.
- Perform regular home visits at designated intervals to provide ongoing support, referrals, and access to necessary services, including medical and mental health resources.
- Compile and submit detailed follow-up reports to relevant authorities.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive case files and database records.
- Identify and address the needs of underserved populations.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Bachelor's degree in social work, behavioral sciences, human services, or a related field is required.
- Demonstrated experience in case management is essential.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal, is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as an enthusiastic team member.
- Frequent travel is necessary; a valid class C driver's license is required.
- Proven leadership capabilities and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer applications.
