Role Overview: General Contracting Estimator

Are you detail-oriented with a passion for transforming concepts into reality? This position is ideal for those who enjoy working with numbers and possess industry knowledge. As a General Contracting Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our self-perform division while also assisting with project management tasks as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including owners, architects, and team members.
  • Conduct thorough and accurate estimate take-offs.
  • Review drawings and specifications to ensure clarity on contractual terms.
  • Build and nurture relationships with teammates, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare for bid day by developing pricing and schedules, and coordinating submissions.
  • Ensure bids are comprehensive and accurate, regularly updating job cost reports.
  • Assist teammates with project management responsibilities.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, embodying our values of trust, honesty, and integrity in all interactions.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive approach to anticipating needs and addressing issues.
  • Self-motivated with a strong follow-through on tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficient with technology and construction management software.
