Position Title: Project Controls Engineer

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of construction project controls, which includes drafting reports, managing costs and schedules, handling change orders, and managing submittals.
  • Supervise office operations with a focus on cost and schedule management associated with construction contracts.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of administrative requirements within construction contracts to ensure the timely delivery of all contract-related documentation.
  • Evaluate contractor payment applications, requests for contract modifications, and assist in quantity take-offs and Independent Government Estimates.
  • Support contract administration tasks, participate in meetings, maintain construction logs, and provide mentorship to administrative personnel.
  • Coordinate with the Project Director and team members, assist in Quality Assurance oversight, and ensure compliance with Construction Safety regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Secret or Top Secret clearance and a degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, Construction Management, or Construction Engineering.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial construction, with preference for candidates with overseas experience.
  • Certifications as a Cost Consultant, Cost Engineer, or Estimating Professional are beneficial, along with familiarity with International Codes.
  • Proficiency in reviewing contractor submittals, responding to Requests for Information, and assessing design calculations and engineering data.
  • Experience with Primavera, Microsoft Office Suite, and recent involvement in construction projects.
