Overview

Objective of the Lead Property Claims Specialist

The primary goal is to ensure the uniform application of organizational protocols and methodologies in the management of commercial, residential, agricultural property, and property damage liability claims. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional service to policyholders and enhancing client retention. It is essential to guarantee that claims are thoroughly investigated, assessed, and resolved in accordance with the company's contractual and legal responsibilities. Timely service and fair resolutions for policyholders, claimants, and the organization are paramount.



Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Lead Property Claims Specialist

Conduct investigations, evaluations, and management of property and casualty claims with minimal oversight.

Possess and maintain an advanced understanding of various building types, construction practices, repair costs, and damage assessment methodologies. Facilitate training for others on damage assessment and repair estimation.

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of agricultural machinery, livestock, and household furnishings.



Qualifications

Qualifications for the Lead Property Claims Specialist

Required: A bachelor's degree in construction trades, agriculture-related fields, business administration, or insurance is preferred, or equivalent experience may be accepted.

A minimum of five to seven years of experience in multi-line or property claims is required.

Extensive knowledge of insurance contracts issued by the organization is necessary.

Thorough understanding of company and departmental policies and procedures is essential.

Exceptional listening abilities and superior customer service skills are mandatory.

In-depth knowledge of estimating systems and construction standards is required.

Access to high-speed internet at home is necessary for field-based positions.

A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required.

Professional designations such as INS, AIC, or similar are required.

Preferred: CPCU designation is preferred.

Note: This position primarily operates remotely.
