About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our team at City National Bank. As a key member of our corporate banking team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with major market corporate clients, identifying business opportunities, and providing exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities with corporate clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at major market corporate clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement sales strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide exceptional client service, ensuring timely and effective resolution of client issues and concerns.
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes, applying this knowledge to inform business development strategies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including credit, operations, and risk management, to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field, such as business, finance, or economics.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of commercial credit policies, procedures, and underwriting standards, as well as bank operations policies and procedures.
  • Excellent business judgment, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Self-directed, proactive, and creative, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of assignments.
Compensation and Benefits

City National Bank offers a competitive compensation package, including a starting base salary of $122,535 - $208,715 per year, as well as bonus and commission opportunities. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
