Job Overview

Position Summary

The Inventory Control Supervisor will collaborate effectively with a diverse team to ensure inventory accuracy in a dynamic environment. This role emphasizes the monitoring of inventory discrepancies, rectifying inconsistencies, and conducting thorough analyses to achieve set goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee inventory reporting and ensure accuracy within the facility, including needs assessment and process enhancements, along with regular inventory status updates.
  • Direct the cycle counting initiative and annual physical inventory assessments by investigating discrepancies and ensuring timely management of adjustments.
  • Generate regular reports on cycle counting outcomes and identify recount requirements. Promptly reconcile any differences to minimize disruption to operations.
  • Conduct audits of inventory levels between incoming and outgoing merchandise, reporting findings to management.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor new and existing procedures for inventory processes, including metrics to evaluate inventory performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards related to inventory management. Uphold security regulations within the facility.
  • Collaborate with management to plan daily staffing needs to meet all inventory management functions.
  • Enhance warehouse efficiency in storage and item distribution, informing management of necessary adjustments and ensuring adherence to product rotation practices.
  • Work alongside key personnel to effectively implement operational improvements that enhance overall accuracy and maintain high productivity levels.
  • Compile data from various sources such as contracts, purchase orders, and accounting reports, and input information into the system to maintain accurate records.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management, ideally in ecommerce fulfillment, logistics, or a supply chain setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated judgment, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Flexible schedule, including availability for nights and weekends.
  • Ability to foster a cohesive team environment aligned with core values.
  • Proven leadership skills to influence, implement changes, and manage conflict.
  • Detail-oriented with the capability to handle multiple tasks while regularly updating progress.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technologically proficient; experience with Order Management Systems, Warehouse Management Systems, or Labor Management Systems is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

  • Starting pay is determined by various factors, including relevant experience and location.
