Position Summary

This full-time role operates Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with hours subject to change based on workload demands.

The Inventory Control Specialist is accountable for comprehensive inventory management, ensuring precise inventory records, investigating discrepancies, strategically placing inventory, and overseeing replenishment processes. This role collaborates closely with the warehouse manager to suggest process enhancements and update standard operating procedures as necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control and SKU management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and RF/Android-based scanning devices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks ranging from light to heavy lifting, with a capacity to lift up to 50 lbs safely.
  • Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, noise, and dust.
  • Comfortable working at heights of 20 to 30 feet.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a distribution warehouse setting.
  • At least 1 year of experience operating a stand-up forklift.
  • Familiarity with Eclipse Warehouse Management System.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy of all incoming shipments by verifying supplier counts and reporting discrepancies to the carrier and supervisor.
  • Maintain shipping records, including returned merchandise, damages, and discrepancies.
  • Conduct daily system cycle counts to verify inventory levels against physical counts.
  • Replenish primary pick locations in the warehouse to full capacity.
  • Optimize product organization to enhance warehouse density and picking efficiency.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse.
  • Manage and track backorder reports.
  • Process damaged goods.
  • Ensure accurate receipt and shipment of merchandise and appropriate handling of products.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
